It looks like the new engine will come in three output variants. Also, we will finally see the off-road performance version with all kinds of off-road upgrades, as the AT4X.
2024 GMC Canyon Design
As we’ve just mentioned, the 2024 GMC Canyon will arrive with significant changes and upgrades. Still, it will continue to ride on the same, though significantly updated platform. Compared to the previous generation, it will feature significant chassis upgrades, including the new suspension setup, which will have a highly positive impact on ride quality. Things look way more upscale now, thanks to the very elegant dashboard design. If features a pretty stylish shape, which is complemented by much nicer materials. Of course, there are also new tech features, which make everything look even nice. There is a pretty massive 11.3-inch infotainment screen, while the instrument cluster comes in two sizes. While the outgoing generation is available with three engines, the new one will come with just one. From what we know so far, the new turbo-four will be offered in three versions, with three different power figures.
Base models will feature a max output of 237 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque, which seems decent enough for a standard version. Finally, the new AT4X will come standard with a version that puts out around 310 horsepower.
All versions will come equipped with 8-speed automatic transmission. The max towing capacity will go up to 7.700 pounds, so the new model will be as capable as its predecessor.
