By While the half-ton F-150 has been redesigned a while ago, we are still waiting for the Super Duty lineup to receive a complete overhaul. It looks like this redesign is finally happening and that the new model is about to arrive already in the next year. Of course, the 2024 Ford F-250 will be the first one to come, with all kinds of upgrades over the current generation.
We count on improvements in various aspects. Of course, the new styling will be one of them, while we also expect to see lots of new tech features, as well as some upgrades under the hood. The new generation will ride on the same platform, but we might see some further improvements regarding weight reduction etc.
2024 Ford F-250 Redesign
As we’ve just mentioned, this redesign is about to bring a lot of novelties. However, the platform will remain the same. The 2024 Ford F-250 will continue with the same chassis, which utilizes lightweight materials like HSS and aluminum. Still, some sources suggest a completely new suspension setup, which would keep towing and hauling capacity at the same level but improve the ride quality, which isn’t the F-250’s strongest point at the moment, especially when compared to Ram 2500. The exterior dimensions shouldn’t change much either.
On the other hand, we expect to see a completely new styling. Details are still unavailable, but if we can rely on renderings, the new generation will bring mostly evolutionary changes. The overall shape won’t change much but, on the other hand, things will be significantly different at the front. Interior
When it comes to interior design, we expect that many parts will be borrowed from the current-generation F-150. Moreover, we also expect to see all kinds of tech features, including the massive vertically-oriented touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, new connectivity features and many more.
On the other other hand, we already mentioned that the exterior dimensions will remain the same or very similar. So, the cabin should offer a similar amount of space as well. The new 2024 Ford F-250 will be offered in familiar cab styles and bed sizes.
2024 Ford F-250 Engines
Of course, this is another aspect that can bring notable improvements. This particularly refers to the diesel version. The current model features a 6.7-liter V8 turbodiesel, which puts out around 475 horsepower and 1.050 pound-feet of torque. If we consider that the Chevy Silverado 2500 is about to get a significant power and torque bump, we may expect upgrades on this engine as well.
On the other hand, gasoline models will probably carry on in the same way. Base versions will continue with a 6.2-liter V8, which puts out around 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. On the other hand, the newer-generation 7.3-liter V8 currently puts out around 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. The base gasoline engine should continue with a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the other two engine options should carry on with a 10-speed automatic.
2024 Ford F-250 Release Date and Price
According to the latest reports, the 2024 Ford F-250 will arrive sometime in the next year, probably in the second half. When it comes to the price, it’s still early to talk about details. Still, we presume that base versions will cost around 40.000 dollars, roughly. Of course, Ram 2500 and Chevy Silverado 2500 will remain key competitors.
