2023 Ram 1500 Diesel Engine
Of course, the most important part of this version is the engine. The 2023 Ram 1500 Diesel will continue with the same powertrain. It is a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel, developed by the Italian company called VM Motori. It features a max output of 260 horsepower and a pretty impressive 480 pound-feet of torque. The diesel version is also very capable. The max towing capacity goes up to 12.560 pounds, while the max payload rating goes up to 2.090 pounds.

As we already mentioned, the 2023 Ram 1500 Diesel could easily receive a mid-cycle refresh, despite that the officials are still quiet. Simply, the key rivals have been updated, so we could see some changes that would keep this pickup fresh and competitive. This particularly refers to the styling. We presume that the front end would come with some tweaks in areas such as headlights, grille and bumper, in order to look more aggressive. However, these changes would be rather subtle, while the overall layout would remain largely the same.
Of course, updates like new color options, new wheels and similar things are always possible. On the other hand, we don’t expect to see changes regarding mechanics. We expect to see the 2023 Ram 1500 Diesel in the second half of the year, with a starting price of around 39.000 dollars. Diesel versions of Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 will remain key competitors.
