After several delays, it looks like Tesla’s highly-anticipated pickup truck will go on sale in late 2022, as the 2023 Tesla Cybertruck. Those are the latest reports we are getting about the model that’s about to make a rear earthquake on the pickup market. Affordably priced, with lots of capabilities to offer, this pickup is expected to be one of the most popular choices among truck drivers in the future.

From what we know so far, the new pickup will be offered in three variants regarding drivetrain. On the other hand, the overall layout will be in a crew cab style, with two spacious rows of seats and a decently-sized cargo bed. Still, the most interesting part of this pickup is definitely its styling, which brings the future much closer to us.

The initial model will arrive sometime late in 2022, while mass production is expected in 2022.

As we already mentioned, the 2023 Tesla Cybertruck will come in three variants. The standard, single-motor version will come equipped with a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle. While the company hides numbers regarding max output, it claims that the acceleration from zero to sixty will go around 6.5 seconds. The max towing capacity should go around 7.500 pounds.

The mid-range options will feature two electric motors, one on each axle. Once again, we don’t know the details about power and torque, but we know that this version will probably be able to hit 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. Also, the max towing capacity should go around 10.000 pounds in this case.

Finally, there is the tri-motor version, which will come with three electric motors and enough power to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds. Also, this version will be able to tow around 14.000 pounds.

Battery and Range

Once again, Tesla doesn’t come up with details regarding battery capacity. On the other hand, it claims that the single-motor version will be able to make over 250 miles on a single charge. The dual-motor version will feature a max range of more than 300 miles, while the tri-motor model will be able to make around 500 miles without recharging.

One of the most intriguing parts of the 2023 Tesla Cybertruck is its styling. As you can see, it looks like nothing you have seen so far. It features a super-futuristic layout, characterized by super-sharp edges. Also, the truck is made from stainless steel and features adjustable air suspension, which changes the height while driving. The ground clearance goes up to 16 inches, while approach and departure angles go up to 35 and 28 degrees, respectively.

Interior

On the inside, you may count on lots of space and comfort. The cabin will be spacious enough to accommodate six passengers. Also, the whole cabin will be characterized by a minimalistic design. The dashboard looks super clean, while the only thing that stands out is a massive infotainment screen, along with a digital instrument cluster.

The 2023 Tesla Cybertruck will hit the market sometime late in 2022. However, mass production probably won’t start before 2023. The base single-motor version should cost around 39.900 dollars, while the tri-motor model should start at around $69.900. Key competitors will be models like Rivian R1T, Ford F-150 Lightning, GMC Hummer EV etc.
