Still, the overall design will remain the same and despite the rumors, the diesel version probably won’t happen.

Considering that bigger changes won’t happen, we are pretty sure that the 2022 Ram 2500 Power Wagon won’t arrive before the last quarter of the year.
2022 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Redesign
As we already mentioned, the 2022 Ram 2500 Power Wagon will continue with its familiar design. This pickup is heavily based on the standard 2500 model, but also comes with loads of unique features, whether it’s about styling or mechanics. Of course, you will notice the aesthetical difference first. There are a lot of blacked details around the truck, as well as a unique grille. Furthermore, massive off-road wheels and higher ground clearance also have a big impact on the overall look.
For the next year, it looks like we are about to see a new special edition. Of course, this will be another visual package and from what we can see on the spy shots, the overall look should be pretty similar to the recently introduced 75th Anniversary Edition. However, there are few differences, such as a silver “RAM” badge and new graphics. The new graphics are particularly interesting, as they closely resemble the legendary Macho Power Wagon from the 70s.
Features
While the styling definitely plays an important role, things under the skin are far more important in this truck. This aspect shouldn’t bring any bigger differences and the 2022 Ram 2500 Power Wagon should come with familiar features. Of course, we are talking about things like standard 4WD, two-speed transfer case, upgraded shock absorbers, locking differentials etc. As we already mentioned, there are massive 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, along with black 17-inch rims.
You may also count on a couple of useful driver aids, such as hill descent control or electric winch. Of course, the truck is protected with skid plates, while a disconnecting sway bar is also on the list of standard equipment.
Interior
On the inside, things are mostly the same as in any other 2500 model. This means you may count on a well-designed cabin, which offers attractive aesthetics, impressive materials and great build quality. It takes a lot of inspiration from the standard half-ton model, so it’s no wonder it looks way better compared to competitors. Furthermore, you may count on a lot of hi-tech features, including an optional 12.0-inch touchscreen.
Cloth upholstery is standard, as well as power-adjustable front seats. Furthermore, this version comes with front and rear rubber floor mats, as well as a few more exclusive features and accessories.

Despite the rumors, we won’t see a diesel engine in the offer. Simply, the well-known Cummins engine would add too much weight to this already heavy pickup truck, which would have a negative impact on the overall performance. We presume that the 2022 Ram 2500 Power Wagon will hit the market sometime late in the year. The current model starts at around 55.000 dollars and we don’t expect bigger changes in the future. Of course, the biggest rival is the Ford F-250 with the new Tremor package.
