Two years after a complete redesign, the current generation of D-Max continues to marks solid sales numbers all around the world. Of course, the main reason is its quality, but there are few more things. One of them is the model’s range-topping version, which will continue as the 2022 Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain for the next year. We don’t believe it could bring any more important changes but that’s not a big deal at all. Simply, the current model is already pretty impressive in every aspect.
Compared to the standard version, this model comes with all kinds of upgrades. There are few distinctive visual details, along with upgraded suspension and a full load of standard equipment. This doesn’t refer to interior features only, but to a full pack of mechanical upgrades, starting from the standard four-wheel drive, low gearing etc.
As the next year shouldn’t bring more notable upgrades, we presume that the 2022 Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain will hit the market sometime late in the year.
2022 Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain Redesign
As we’ve just mentioned, the 2022 Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain will continue in a familiar way. That means you may count on a model that stands out in many ways, starting from a couple of exclusive styling details. For example, LED lighting is standard, while bumpers come in unique 18-inch wheels, along with dark grey grille, dark grey side steps, bumpers etc.
Besides numerous distinctive styling details, this version also comes with some pretty serious mechanical upgrades. For example, this is the only model in the lineup that comes standard with a four-wheel drive. Furthermore, you may count on a two-speed transfer case with low-gearing. There is a few more standard feature that has a big impact on off-road capabilities, such as rear locking differential, hill descent control, skid plates etc.
Despite the rugged pickup nature, this model is also incredibly pleasant once you step inside. First of all, you can notice a petty attractive dashboard design, which is made from quality materials and brings a lot of car-like styling elements. Naturally, there is a full load of convenience features, starting from a large 9-inch infotainment screen, which comes with updated software, with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
You may also count on lots of convenience features, starting from leather seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, 8-speaker audio system.
The 2022 Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain will continue exclusively in a dual-cab form, with two spacious and comfortable rows of seats.
When it comes to safety features, the list of standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane departure prevention, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition and many more.
2022 Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain Engine and Performance

It now puts out around 190 horsepower (140 kW) and 450 Nm of max torque. The latter is available already at 1.400 rpm, which ensures excellent throttle response at any speed.
