Considering that the current generation is expected to remain in production for a few more years, there is no doubt that the 2022 Toyota Tacoma will also be a typical carryover model.
This means you may count on familiar design characteristics. This isn’t the most refined model in the class. It isn’t the most capable either. Both engines come in pair with a 6-speed automatic, though you can also get manual in several versions.
When it comes to fuel economy, the base engine returns around 20 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. The V6 returns around 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. Max towing capacity goes around 6.800 pounds. While that’s quite average number for the class, 1685 pounds of the max payload capacity seems pretty good for a mid-size pickup truck.

Since we don’t expect to see any bigger changes, the 2022 Toyota Tacoma should arrive sometime late in the next year. Base models should go around 27.000 dollars.
