We believe there will be smaller batteries available for the 2021 Rivian R1T. The starting offer will come with a range of 250-300 miles and output. These are 105 and 135 kWh electric engines. Top of the range model will create 750 hp and the power goes to all wheels. Of course, Rivian’s autonomous drive is ready to raise the bar to a new level.
Styling and Interior Features
If we had to describe the 2021 Rivian R1T is one word, that would be – futuristic. In two – too futuristic. This truck will bring the latest technologies in the cockpit. But, its exterior will be something we never saw before. Even the latest future concepts can’t match the look of the R1T electric pickup. The LED lighting is everywhere. Tiny light bars going from side to side, up front and at the back. Headlights have a shape of the vertical pill. The LED strip between them will also be an indicator of charging level. Of course, red and green are saying if the battery is empty or full.
Sides of the truck are not so eye-catching. But, the electric truck will have skid plates. Does it mean the 2021 Rivian R1T will be capable for an off-road drive? We didn’t see this coming. The entry-level model with the lightest battery will cost just under $70,000. But, it comes the last, a year after the R1T enters salons. We know that the most powerful one is coming next year, but we don’t have clues about the price. It will probably start with a six-digit cost. Version with a 135 kWh motor will have a price of $90,000. The debut of the R1T electric truck is set for the next year, and we believe it is happening in Detroit. NAIAS will be held on summer starting from 2020.
