Many see Gladiator primarily as a capable off-roader but this pickup is much more than that. We are talking about a practical and well-rounded truck, which arrived two years ago. Considering that it is still quite fresh on the market, we are pretty sure that the next year won’t bring any particular changes, at least when it comes to standard models. Of course, there is a chance to see new features and new customization options in the offer, but a more interesting thing is the possible introduction of the V8 version. At this point, the officials are still quiet about this.
In any case, the 2022 Jeep Gladiator will continue to deliver a lot of good things. It is the most capable off-roader among mid-size pickups, but also a model that offers a spacious and comfortable cabin, as well as a pretty intuitive infotainment system. Most likely, the next year’s model will come in a typical time of year. That would mean sometime in the last quart of 2021.
2022 Jeep Gladiator Redesign
Since we are talking about a model that is still relatively fresh, and about a model that relies on classic design solutions, we are pretty sure that the 2022 Jeep Gladiator won’t bring any particular changes. In terms of stylish, it proudly shows its relationship with Wrangler, featuring the identical seven-slot grille. For the next year, the best we could see are new color options, while there is always a chance to see new special editions as well.
Mechanically, the relationship between the two models is even closer and what we particularly like about this truck is that all versions offer strong off-road capabilities. Of course, the Rubicon stands at the top of the offer, featuring a lot of additional off-road hardware, such as Fox off-road shock absorbers, locking front and rear axles, an electronic sway bar disconnect etc.
Once again, there are no bigger changes to come. The current cabin looks very nice, combining the model’s rugged nature with a bit of lifestyle styling elements. All this looks nice but what’s more important is that the cabin is spacious and practical. The 2022 Jeep Gladiator will continue to come in a crew cab version only, even though there are rumors about the arrival of a single cab version.
The cabin is very spacious and also well equipped. Base models come with things like a 5-inch touch screen, satellite radio, eight speakers, Bluetooth, and two USB ports. In higher trim levels, you can also get 7- and 8.4-inch touch screens, a navigation system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, HD Radio, and nine speakers.
2022 Jeep Gladiator Engines
The current model comes with two engines in the offer and we have no doubt that these two units will carry on in the same way. Base models will continue with a 3.6-liter V6, which puts out around 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Also, there is a 3.0-liter diesel, which features a max output of 260 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. Both engines come in pair with 8-speed automatic transmission, while the gasoline engine is also available with a manual gearbox.
The biggest rumor for the 2022 Jeep Gladiator is the possible addition of the V8 version. Of course, we are talking about the 6.4-liter HEMI engine, which debuted recently in the Wrangler Rubicon 392. The engine puts out 470 horsepower and many believe that the same scenario will happen with the Gladiator.
2022 Jeep Gladiator Release Date and Price
The 2022 Jeep Gladiator will probably hit the market sometime late in the year. We don’t expect bigger changes in price, so base models should go around 34.000 dollars. Of course, the competition remains the same, which means well-known names in the business like Colorado, Ranger, Tacoma etc.
