Simply, the last redesign has brought a lot of novelties, starting from a completely new platform and exterior design. We also saw a new engine, as well as a completely new cabin. All these guarantees that the current generation will remain in production for a long time. Therefore, the 2022 Isuzu D-Max should come without more important changes.
As the next year won’t bring significant changes, you may count on familiar design characteristics. The D-Max is one of the best working machines in the segment, known for its reliability and capabilities. 2022 Isuzu D-Max Redesign
As we’ve just mentioned, the current generation of this well-known pickup truck has been around for a while. It represents the third generation of the D-Max nameplate and for the first time, Isuzu has developed its truck fully independently, without cooperation with GM. As a result, we have a pickup with a completely new design, which features a brand-new platform and comes with loads of new design solutions. Mechanics are new, as well as the styling, which looks more appealing than before. Interestingly, this generation is bigger than its predecessor and features 123 inches in wheelbase.
For the next year, we don’t expect to see any particular novelty. The 2022 Isuzu D-Max will continue in the same way, with the same overall layout. Smaller updates are always possible but we don’t that the Japanese manufacturer will come up with any of them for the next year.
Interior
The same story goes with the interior design. In the past, this truck was a typical workhorse and Isuzu engineers didn’t care much about interior design. The current model has brought radical changes and this truck now looks very nice from the inside. You may count on more attractive aesthetics, finer materials and lots of new tech features. All this makes this cabin a very nice place and we are pretty sure that the next year won’t bring more important changes. Naturally, there is always a chance to see a few tweaks in terms of new features, but the 2022 Isuzu D-Max will mostly continue in the same way.
2022 Isuzu D-Max Engines
This pickup truck comes with an engine in the offer and we expect the 2022 Isuzu D-Max to continue in the same way. On most markets, Isuzu offers a new 3.0-liter turbodiesel, which is good for about 190 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. With such numbers, you may count on excellent capabilities. The max towing capacity is among the highest in the class and goes easily over 3.5 tons. Also, the engine comes available with either automatic or manual transmission. In both cases, we are talking about 6-speed units from Aisin and both work great in a combination with this engine.
In some parts of the world, you can also get a smaller and more efficient 1.9-liter turbodiesel. This one puts out around 150 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. While it’s not as capable as the 3.0-liter unit, it provides quite decent performances and can be a great choice for various kinds of purposes. This engine also comes coupled with Aisin transmissions.
2022 Isuzu D-Max Release Date and Price
We expect to see 2022 Isuzu D-Max in a typical time of year, sometime in the last quarter of 2021. When it comes to the price, it can vary from market to market. In Europe, base single cab models are available already at around 25.000 Euro. Key competitors are models like Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi L200 etc.
