New Suburban and Tahoe Show How 2021 Chevy Silverado Cabin Could Look Like!?

0

It’s no secret that GM was in a big hurry to introduce a completely new Silverado last year. The new Ram 1500 was on the way and the company wanted to launch Silverado at the same time. The main consequence of such a rush was the interior design, which remained pretty much the same as in the previous-generation model. Of course, that was noticed instantly and critics started at once. Therefore, GM decided to introduce a completely new cabin as a part of the first update of the new generation. Now we can see how the new 2021 Chevy Silverado cabin could look like, as the new Tahoe and Suburban have been presented.

2021 Chevy Silverado Cabin Redesign

Although we can’t say whether the 2021 Chevy Silverado cabin will look exactly the same or not, there is no doubt that there will be a lot of influence from the new dashboard that debuts in new SUV models. If you compare the two designs, the differences are pretty big. The first things that can be noticed that the new dash comes in three levels, separated by long and a little bit curvy horizontal lines.

It’s not hard to notice that the new dash uses hi-quality materials. It’s not exactly a premium-grade quality but looks significantly better compared to what we have in the current Silverado. The new 2021 Chevy Silverado Cabin is very car-like and soft-touch materials are one of the main reasons for that. Of course, we may also presume that higher trims will look even better, with upgraded materials, new color combinations etc.

2021 Chevy Silverado Cabin Tech Features

Big novelties in terms of tech features are here as well. One of the first things that you may notice on the new dashboard is a new touchscreen. Whether the 2021 Chevy Silverado cabin comes with the same design as Tahoe and Suburban or not, we are pretty sure that the new touchscreen will find its place on the new center stack. It is a tablet-like 10-inch unit, which looks way better than the current one.

The instrument cluster has been revised as well. Besides the new gauges, there are also new digital screens. Base models should come with a  4.2-inch unit, while higher trims should utilize a bigger 8-inch screen.

The center stack has been revised as well and not looks far more attractive. Moreover, new controls also seem more practical and easier to use. Most truckers would like such setup, which is still full of physical knobs and buttons. The center console has been redesigned as well and it comes with a new shape, different storage compartments, re-positioned cup holders etc.

Don’t forget to check details about the model’s counterpart, 2021 GMC Sierra.

Are There Any Other Changes To Come?

At this point, it looks like the 2021 Chevy Silverado cabin redesign will be the only change in this year’s model we are about to see. Other than that, things are about to remain unchanged. Count on the same design, engine options and styling. Of course, revisions in terms of standard equipment and trim level organization are always possible.
