Still, some sources suggest the possibility to see changes for the 2022 Honda Ridgeline. At this point, details are still unavailable, but there is a chance to see a refresh, which would keep the model fresh and competitive in this growing market.

2022 Honda Ridgeline Redesign
The current generation of this pickup truck has been around for about five years. Given the fact that the original model was in production for a full decade, we have no doubt that the current version will be in the offer for several more years. This particularly refers to the fact that new unibody pickups are on the way, so the Ridgeline won’t be one of a kind anymore. The new Hyundai Santa Cruz has been confirmed, while we also count on models like Ram Rampage and Jeep Comanche, as well as on a couple of unibody trucks from premium carmakers.
Therefore, we might see a couple of aesthetical updates, particularly at the front. The areas that could receive novelties are grille, bumpers, front fascia etc. Of course, we could also see goodies like new wheels, color options and similar things.
Interior

Driving dynamics are pretty good, while the ride is extremely smooth. Of course, one of the reasons is a new 9-speed automatic transmission, which has been introduced last year.
Besides a sufficient amount of power, this configuration also offers pretty solid mpg ratings for the class. You may count on about 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. Those are some of the highest ratings in the class.
2022 Honda Ridgeline Type R
One of the biggest rumors for the 2022 Honda Ridgeline is the hi-performance Type R model. If this happens, we have no doubt that this model would come with loads of different upgrades. Of course, the engine is the first thing that comes to mind and we presume we would see a turbocharged six-cylinder unit with significantly more power compared to the current version.
Of course, we would see all kinds of other modifications as well. From the outside, we would see lots of exclusive details, particularly on parts like grille, wheels, bumpers etc. Mechanical upgrades would happen as well. We would see a completely new, stiffer suspension setup, as well as a little bit lower ground clearance. Also, we count upgraded brakes, chassis reinforcements and similar things.
Obviously, we would see changes on the inside as well. The first thing that comes to mind is the addition of all those red accents to the cabin, but we could also see new seats, new instrument cluster and many other things.
