Hyundai’s first vehicle of this kind could arrive already in a year or two and we are already getting reports about a variety of versions that should be in the offer. Among them, there is also the 2021 Hyundai Santa Cruz N. According to the latest reports, the Korean manufacturer is also about to offer a hi-performance version of the new pickup truck, which will come not only with upgrades under the hood but in many aspects as well.
Specs
Considering that this model will carry the famous N badge, we expect nothing less than great performances from this version. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the engine. According to the latest reports, the Korean carmaker wants to offer a truck that would be a direct rival to the Ford Ranger Raptor and for that cause, it would need a lot of power. Therefore, it will probably feature the new 2.0-liter turbo-four, the same one that can be found in the new i30, which is good for about 300 horsepower. With such amount of horsepower, there’s no doubt that the 2021 Hyundai Santa Cruz N will be a pretty capable performer, with 0-60 time under seven seconds.

Of course, the new model will be based on the standard version of the upcoming truck. Still, we are about to see all those typical upgrades that characterize all performance models. According to the latest reports, Hyundai plans to offer the new truck in a variety of version. It looks like different cab designs will be in the offer, both with single and two rows of seats. Also, the same reports suggest various powertrain options, including a diesel engine.

The new truck is still in an early stage of development. So, we don’t expect to see it on the market soon. Most likely, both 2021 Hyundai Santa Cruz N and the rest of the lineup will arrive in about two years.
