In today’s automotive industry, manufacturers are ready for everything, so we may expect all kinds of designs, which would have the task to attract more potential buyers. This also means we might see some familiar design solutions back. One of the names that go through the aether is 2021 Chevy Avalanche. This is a well-known name in the business, which has been in production for a full 12 years, between 2001 and 2013. Eventually, the model was discontinued due to low sales numbers. However, things are a little bit different these days, so we could easily see a comeback, especially if we considered that the new generation of Suburban has been launched recently.

When it comes to base design characteristics, the 2021 Chevy Avalanche would stick to similar solutions as its predecessors. This means a little bit of both worlds. The new model would be heavily based on the new Suburban, but the hatch area would be replaced with a relatively small open bed, designed in a typical truck manner. Mechanically, the two models would be identical, which means riding on a new T1 platform and all other goodies.

These days, even some rendering photos have appeared and they clearly show a tight relationship with the new Suburban. According to these photos, the two models would feature identical front ends. Moreover, they would be pretty much identical from the front bumper to the C-pillar, while the hatch section would be designed in a typical truck manner. Still, the rendering images clearly show a lot of identical areas on the rear end, including the same taillights and similar things. Of course, keep in mind that these are just rendering photos. If it arrives, the 2021 Chevy Avalanche would probably be a little bit different, so there is no doubt there is a lot of room for exclusive details.

When it comes to interior design, things seem pretty clear. In terms of the base layout, the cabin would be pretty much identical to the first two rows of the Suburban. This would include the same dimensions, the same amount of legroom and overall look. Of course, this includes the same dashboard design that recently debuted in Suburban. It features much better overall quality compared to some previous generations, Finer materials, better aesthetics and a higher level of craftsmanship are some of the things you will notice first. Also, there is a full load of new tech features, led by the new touchscreen and infotainment system. All in all, we don’t expect particular differences in the 2021 Chevy Avalanche.

2021 Chevy Avalanche Engines

Things are pretty clear here. We count on the same engine lineup, which should include four engine options. Of course, the first ones that come to mind are well-known V8 units. One of them is a 5.3-liter unit, which is good for about 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The bigger one is a well-known 6.2-liter unit with around 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.

We also count on two new options, starting from a new 2.7-liter turbo-four, which is good for pretty respectable 310 horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque. Finally, we believe there is enough room for a diesel version as well. Of course, we count on a new 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel, which delivers around 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
