2021 Chevrolet Silverado Redline Edition Is Coming

0

After the last year’s concept, Chevy’s well known visual package will be offered in the full-size pickup for the 2021 model years. The Redline Edition isn’t a new name in Chevy’s portfolio. It is currently available in a plethora of models from this brand, starting from Camaro, Colorado, Traverse etc. Even the previous generation of Silverado had it in the offer. The new version is coming as the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado Redline Edition.

At this point, we are still waiting for the exact details but we are pretty sure that most of the specs and features will be the same or very similar to the concept version. This means that the main focus will be on the styling, though extra features in other aspects are possible as well.

In terms of the base design, this will be a typical Silverado. More precisely, we expect that this package will be available in LT and LTZ trim levels, though we are still waiting for the official confirmation. Compared to standard models, this one will be characterized by loads of exclusive visual details. At the front, you may count on a blacked face, highlighted by a massive grille that comes with a new pattern. Also, there are new LED headlights, as well as red tow hooks on the bumper.

From the side, the first thing you’ll notice are new 20-inch black wheels with red accents. Side mirrors, door handles and other parts are also designed in a similar manner. On the back end, you can notice red accents on the tailgate, as well as new trapezoidal exhaust pipes.

Besides loads of visual upgrades, the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado Redline Edition will also come with a couple of mechanical tweaks, especially in terms of suspension. This version sits a little bit lower to the ground, compared to standard models, which makes it look sportier.

Interior

When it comes to the interior design, we still don’t know the details about the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado Redline Edition, but we presume the modifications won’t be as numerous as in the case of the exterior. The overall layout will remain the same, though there is always a chance to see things like new interior schemes. We already mentioned that this package will be offered in LT and LTZ trim levels, so you may also count on a familiar list of standard equipment.

For example, the LT model comes standard with dual-zone climate control, heated seats and steering wheel, 8-inch touchscreen, power-adjustable driver’s seat etc. On the other side, the LTZ comes with various upgrades, including things like bucket seats, ventilated seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leather upholstery, power-adjustable passenger’s seat etc.

2021 Chevrolet Silverado Redline Edition Engines

We count on three engines in the offer with this package. The base unit should be a new 2.7-liter turbo-four, which puts out around 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. Also, you may count on a good-old 5.3-liter V8, which is good for about 355 horses and 383 pound-feet of torque.

Although it’s still just a rumor, we expect that the new visual package will also be available in a combination with a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel, which puts out around 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
