2022 Hercules Alpha Rumors and Expectations

The automotive industry is quickly changing and it’s mostly about electrification. Even pickups aren’t excluded from this trend, so it’s no wonder that we are about to see a plethora of such vehicles in the near future. Of course, everyone talks about the Cybertruck, but there are also names like Rivian R1T, GMC Hummer, all-electric F-150 etc. So, this may seem like another electric pickup in progress. However, it will come with a couple of distinctive design solutions.

From what we know so far, this will be one of the fastest and most capable electric pickups. Interestingly, it won’t be built from a scratch, but rather a modification of one conventional half-ton pickup. Of course, we will see a lot of unique design solutions, while aesthetics will certainly stand out. The first models could arrive already by the end of this year.

2022 Hercules Alpha

2022 Hercules Alpha Design

One of the most interesting parts of the 2022 Hercules Alpha is its base design. Unlike most other all-electric pickups, this one won’t be built from a scratch. Instead, we will see a familiar chassis, borrowed from Nissan Titan. The new pickup will use a lot of Titan’s hardware and you may also count on similar proportions and overall size.

The tight connection can be seen in rendering photos. The two models feature quite similar overall shapes. On the other side, the front end is completely unique and brings a completely different aesthetical approach. One of the things that most truck lovers will probably like is the fact that 2022 Hercules Alpha won’t insist on being looking too futuristic, which is the case with most vehicles of this case. Instead, we will see a quite traditional and conventional design approach.

2022 Hercules Alpha release date

2022 Hercules Alpha Performance

Without any doubt, this is the most interesting aspect of the 2022 Hercules Alpha. From what we can read in the latest reports, things look really promising. First of all, there is a mighty setup that includes four engines, two on each axle. With all of them engaged, you may count on a max output of 1.000 horsepower, which promises exceptional performances. Allegedly, this pickup truck will need just three seconds to hit sixty. The max speed will be limited to 120 mph.

Besides impressive acceleration, this pickup will be quite capable. The latest reports suggest a max towing capacity of around 12.500 pounds, while the max payload should go around 2.500 pounds.

Battery, Range, Charging

The exact numbers in terms of the battery are still kept a secret. At this point, we can only say that the initial plan was to offer 300 miles on a single charge. With the latest update, this has been increased to 350 miles, considering that many future rivals provide better autonomy. When it comes to charging, you may count on DC fast charging as standard, though the exact details are still unknown.

Interior

At this point, we can only judge by a couple of rendering photos. On them, the cabin looks upscale but doesn’t necessarily look too futuristic. The dashboard shape looks similar to Titan, though we can notice more upscale aesthetics and loads of tech features. The seats also look very nice, while the second row comes with a place for two. We presume this could change in the production model. Naturally, we count on a full load of tech features, as well as on a long list of standard equipment but at this point, it’s way too early to speculate about any of that.
