2021 Chevy Silverado Dually Features, Diesel and Specs

The current generation of Chevy’s HD pickup arrived just a year ago, so it’s pretty much for sure that the 2021 Chevy Silverado Dually will come without more important changes. We are about to see a familiar layout, introduced last year, which has brought a lot of significant improvements compared to the previous generation. The overall capabilities are better than ever, especially with the optional dual rear wheel, which now offers some of the highest towing ratings in the class.

The overall layout is based on a new T1 architecture and the dual rear wheel is primarily reserved for the 3500HD model, where it helps his truck achieving some of the highest towing ratings in the class. For the next year, we are about to see pretty much the same layout, without more significant changes. Still, some additions to the list of standard equipment are always possible.

2021 Chevy Silverado Dually Redesign

As we’ve just mentioned, bigger changes in terms of design are not expected. The 2021 Chevy Silverado Dually will continue in the same way, with the styling that heavily resembles standard half-ton models, but also includes loads of exclusive details, particularly at the front, where you can see a unique grille layout, with a more aggressive and bolder appearance.

The same story goes for interior design. Just like the other Silverado models, this one also kept cabin design from the previous generation. While the working capabilities of the new model are unquestionable, the cabin looks a little bit outdated and that’s probably the biggest drawback of this model. On the other side, you definitely won’t lack space, no matter which cab style you choose.

Trim Levels

A good thing to know is that this version is available across the whole range of models. Therefore, the offer starts with the Work Truck model, which is pretty much a typical work mule. The list of standard equipment in this case includes black bumpers, vinyl flooring, a 7-inch touchscreen, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.

The LT is a bit of an upgrade. Some of the additional features are things like a Wi-Fi hotspot, power door locks and chrome bumpers. The LTZ adds even more standard equipment, including LED headlights, an EZ Lift tailgate, dual-zone climate control, and variable assist steering, as well as an optional Safety Package, which includes a couple of advanced systems.

The High Country is where the luxury starts. This version comes standard with things like a power tailgate, a Bose audio system, leather upholstery, and heated and ventilated front seats, as well as with pretty unique styling.

2021 Chevy Silverado Dually Engine

While the standard single rear wheel model is available with both gasoline and diesel engine, this particular version comes with an oil-burner only. Of course, the 2021 Chevy Silverado Dually will continue in the same way, with a well-known 6.6-liter Duramax V8 turbodiesel, which is good for about 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque. The engine comes coupled with a 10-speed Allison automatic transmission and provides some of the highest towing ratings in the class. When properly equipped, this pickup truck can tow more than 36.000 pounds, which is pretty amazing for the class and significantly better compared to the previous generation.

2021 Chevy Silverado Dually Release Date and Price

We expect to see the 2021 Chevy Silverado Dually on the market by the end of the year. When it comes to the price, base models should go around 42.000 dollars. Of course, key rivals are similar versions of Ram HD pickup trucks and Ford F-Series.
